Howdy, folks!

February 6th was a red letter date for the Dakota RoughRiders as we held our first official indoor match at the new Johnson Family Marksmanship Center in Bismarck.

Fifteen shooters turned out to help christen the event and they were treated to four fun-filled stages... and some fantastic snacks!

It was great to see all the regular shooters who turned out to support us and we also welcomed back one of our reigning state champs in Misty Target, who flew in from college in Minnesota to shoot with us.

Anaconda Jack came out of hiding after many years and he even rounded up his old gang, his brothers, The Vegan from Tennessee and Fat Hand Cozby from Montana. It was fun shooting with these guys!

Everyone had a blast (sorry) with their new shotgun rounds designed for indoor shooting (12 ga. shotshell cases shooting a .45 cal wax bullet with a primer). With no recoil, it was hilarious to watch the expressions on everyone's faces!

Well, the inaugural indoor match was won by Blake Stone who was also the only clean shooter for the match.
Our next indoor match will be held on March 20th. Registration starts at noon with shooting starting at 1p.m. after a short safety briefing.
