There were 17 shooters today, that was with 3 new shooters. We shot 4 stages in 4 1/2 hours. We all had a great time and harrassed everyone (a little) on misses.
The new timer works really good. It makes it a lot easier for keeping track of everyone’s time and everyone can see their own time. The board with everyone’s alias helped speed things up with everyone seeing and knowing when they were up to load.
One of the new shooters was a young girl around 14-16 years old. She will be one heck of a shooter with a little practice. She took about 20 seconds off her time from her first stage to her 3rd stage and did really well on the 4th stage.

Friday’s practice session turned out to be a lot of fun with a mix of 17 Cowboy Action and Action Pistol shooters.
The shooting stages were set up to be adaptable to both styles of shooting. So, who ever was ready to shoot just stepped up to the plate. After everyone ran through a stage, the Cowboys challenged the Action shooters to shoot some of our infamous targeting sequences.
The first sequence was the Badger Sweep. A few jaws dropped and a “Do what?!” was heard among the crowd. After the sequence was explained, they decided to, first, see how the Cowboys do it.
Being used to double tapping a target and moving on to the next, it took a little mental reset to get the hang of it. But they did quite well and actually enjoyed the change of pace.
Thanks to the crew, Rod-Iron-Rip, Two X Tom and Pistolero Shay, for the well organized setup and smooth running evening. Everyone had an opportunity to run the stages 2-3 times.
